Back Door Slam

The lowdown -- Home to little more than 80,000 people, the Isle of Man is not known for producing musicians. But from this island nestled in the Irish Sea comes the Back Door Slam. With a sound inspired by B.B. King and Eric Clapton, these bluesmen jam at the 8x10 on Wednesday.

March on Stage

The lowdown -- March On Stage is a series of concerts started by the Hard Rock Cafe that aims to bring local bands and communities together to benefit charities. The concert tomorrow features local bands the Cheaters, Victims of Experience and Everyone but Pete to benefit Musicians On Call, a group that works to bring music to recovering patients. Guests will also have the chance to win guitars signed by Ace Frehley, Serj Tankien and Al Anderson.

Celebrate Purim

The lowdown -- Bust out your best 1940s clothing tonight and get to dancing at Purim Pandemonium. The party, at the Jewish Museum of Maryland, celebrates the holiday of Purim and is U.S.O.-themed in honor of its latest exhibition, Ours to Fight For: American Jews in the Second World War. For those not literate in dance, Charm City Swing will be on hand with lessons and big-band music. Vintage clothes encouraged.
