Dr. Jon Keith Park, a retired University of Maryland dental radiology professor, died March 12 at Maryland Shock Trauma Center of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Merritt Boulevard last month. The Dundalk resident was 69.
Born in Wichita, Kan., Dr. Park was the son of a dentist and earned a degree at the University of Missouri Dental School.
He moved to Maryland in 1972 to join the faculty of the University of Maryland Dental School, where he taught for 35 years. He had been associate professor and director of oral radiology.
After retiring, he taught weekend courses at the Community College of Baltimore County in Essex.
Dr. Park played the piano and organ. He enjoyed classical music and attended the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
He owned sets of pugs and was a supporter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. today at Grace and St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 707 Park Ave., where he was a member.
Survivors include his companion of 13 years, William R. Housman of Dundalk; a brother, Dr. R. Craig Park of Wichita, a retired dentist; and a sister, Jeannie Park Gans, also of Wichita, a former radio soloist with the Phil Spitalny orchestra.
