In memory of Willie Morris McGee, (a.k.a. Awesome Dad, Pop-Pop or Slick Willie). November 22,1929 to March 14,2008. A merchant marine veteran and retiree from General Motors. He will be missed by his five daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Denny, Joyce and George, Brenda and Ed, Angela and Ted and Ginger and Stan. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Kenneth and wife Emily, Sandra, Matthew, Marcus, Jeffrey, Kevin, Corey, Samantha, Troy, Gary and Shannon. Three great-grandchildren include Caroline, Ella and Madison. He was a wonderful brother to Ester (deceased), Bill (deceased), Myra, Ava, Jesse, Belle, Haywood, Willie Mae (deceased), Minnie, Frank, Rosie, Judy, Joe, Lee, Brookey and Moto. His main passions in life included bowling and betting on the horses with his brother Jesse. He loved music, dancing, playing the harmonica and recording songs and his comments on tapes to send to his sisters and brother in North Carolina. He enjoyed hot dogs, peanuts and orange popsicles. Dad, Pop-Pop, brother, uncle, friend, chief, etc. You will be sorely missed. We love you dearly. Hang loose and now we know everything is copacetic.
