NEWELL, SISTER RAYMOND

Sister Raymond Newell died suddenly on March 14, 2008. She became a Sister with the Daughters of Charity and remained devoted to serving the Lord for almost 60 years. Born Mary "Evelyn" Newell, daughter of the late B. Ruth (nee France) and Ray Newell. Loving sister of Laverne Hand, Shirley Sears, Lawrence and Roy Newell. Preceded in death by siblings Ray Jr., Robert, Theresa Newell and Virginia Hum. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Family and friends may call at St. Joseph Provincial House, 333 S. Seton Avenue, Emmitsburg , MD on Monday, March 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, March 18, at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow service.
