A sketchy night of comedy

The Baltimore Sun

If you stumble upon a bunch of stringed instruments whispering conspiratorially together in a dark alley, don't be alarmed. It's probably just a rehearsal for Sects and Violins, the new sketch comedy show by Single Carrot Theatre that opens tonight at Load of Fun.

"Sketch comedy is rarely done in Baltimore," says Brendan Ragan, director of publicity for the troupe.

If you go Sects and Violins will be performed at Load of Fun, 120 W. North Ave., through March 29. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; and 2:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are $10-$12. Call 443-844-9253.
