Goucher women lose by 1 as CND rallies, wins first

Tina Money scored the game-winner on a free position with 50 seconds left as the College of Notre Dame rallied from a six-goal deficit to earn its first win, 18-17, over visiting Goucher (1-3) yesterday.

Anne Shippen led the Gators (1-2) with eight goals and two assists and Money finished with five. Goucher's Kate Knitter scored with seven goals.

Frostburg State 19, Trinity 0 -- Lindsay Lamont had six points (two goals, four assists) for the host Bobcats (2-2).

McDaniel 19, Catholic 13 -- Freshman Kelly Scheler (C. Milton Wright) had four goals and an assist to power the host Green Terror (4-0) past the Cardinals (4-2).

St. Mary's 21, Swarthmore 16 -- Lauren Carrier (Old Mill) scored six goals to power the Seahawks (5-2) past the Garnet in San Antonio.


Washington College 17, Elizabethtown 5 -- Kolyn Kirby scored five goals in seven shots and handed out four assists for the host Shoremen (5-0).
