Journeys Community, a nontraditional spiritual group, meets at 10 a.m. Sundays in the second-floor auditorium of Vantage House, 5400 Vantage Point Road, Columbia, to explore spirituality using music, video, reflection and meditation.

On Easter Sunday, March 23, the group will explore ways that each person can awaken a fearless spirit in himself and be reborn to a life of awe and wonder.

Everyone is welcome.

Journeys Community will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 at the Kittamaqundi Community Church parking lot (Oliver's Carriage House), 5400 Leaf Treader Way (across from Vantage House). The rain date is April 26.

Church plans Easter egg hunt

Christ United Methodist Church will hold an Easter egg hunt for church and neighborhood children from 10 a.m. to noon March 22 at Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia.

The event will be held indoors.

A Good Friday worship service is planned for 7 p.m. March 21. The Easter Sunday service will be held at 10 a.m. March 23.

'The RISING' to be performed

Bethany Lane Baptist Church will present its annual Easter production, The RISING, at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. March 22.

The RISING focuses on the resurrection and the apostle Peter's struggle to find his destiny.

Jewish humor topic of lunch talk

The Jewish Federation of Howard County will present a talk in the series "Hot Topics -- Lunch 'n' Learn" at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the organization's community room, Century Plaza 1000, 10630 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 400, Columbia.

Stanley Raskin will speak about "Growing Up Jewish -- The Art of Jewish Humor."

Take a lunch; drinks and a snack will be provided.

Women's Conference to be held April 5

Women ages 16 and older are invited to Calvary Community Church in Columbia from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5 for a conference featuring an audiovisual presentation of Women of Faith, "Amazing Freedom."

Registration is to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Tickets cost $15 and include a catered lunch and refreshments.

Lubavitch Center selling bricks

The Lubavitch Center for Jewish Education, 770 Howes Lane in Columbia, is selling bricks in its new courtyard.

The bricks, which can be engraved with a text of the purchaser's choice, can memorialize a loved one, celebrate a child or honor someone important in the purchaser's life.
