Reese, Terps women deliver

State Maryland coach Cathy Reese delivered her third child, a girl, yesterday, and the No. 2 women's lacrosse team celebrated with a 17-9 win against visiting Richmond last night.

Senior Dana Dobbie scored five goals to lead the Terrapins. Sophomore Caitlyn McFadden had a career-high four assists and four ground balls.

Senior Casey Magor added a hat trick with an assist, and Katie Princiotto added two goals and two assists. Senior Kelly Kasper added a goal and two assists, and sophomore Amanda Spinnenweber recorded a pair of goals and an assist.

Reese's daughter, Cayden Elizabeth, weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces. Cayden was born at 3:55 p.m. She joins the family with older brothers Riley and Brody. Both Reese and Cayden are healthy.

George Washington 15, Mount St. Mary's 9 -- Katelyn Catanese paced Mount St. Mary's with four goals, but it wasn't enough, and the Mountaineers (3-3) lost to the host Colonials (1-5). Catanese moved into ninth place on the program's all-time goal list with 85. She is within one point of reaching 100 career points.

Men

Wooster 7, Goucher 6, OT -- The Gophers (3-1) never led but tied the score at 6 with 1:35 remaining in regulation on Dave Duff's second goal of the game. The loss ended Goucher's six-game winning streak dating to last season.
