Academy alumni chief resigns

The chief executive officer of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association is stepping down, about four months after a lawsuit was filed relating to how the association is run. George Watt informed the board of directors of his decision Friday.

The litigation concerns the governance of the alumni association. In May, two alumni voiced concern about the association's 2006 election and term limits for board members.
