Wise's 21 points help St. Mary's advance

Junior forward Calvin Wise scored a game-high 21 points in St. Mary's 83-74 win over host Widener (23-6) in the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament.

The Seahawks (19-11), who are playing in their first NCAA tournament, advanced to next weekend's third round at a site and time to be determined. They won their season-high eighth straight game.

For the second straight game, St. Mary's shot over 61 percent from the field in the second half to break open a close game.
