Easter egg hunt set at interfaith center
Christ United Methodist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt for church and neighborhood children from 10 a.m. to noon March 22 at Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, Columbia. The hunt will be held indoors.
A Good Friday worship service will be held at 7 p.m. March 21. An Easter Sunday service is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 23.

Purim Carnival to be held Sunday
The Jewish Federation of Howard County, with local synagogues and schools, will sponsor its 16th Purim Carnival from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Reservoir High School, 11550 Scaggsville Road, Fulton.
Admission is $5 per family at the door. Games, vendors and food are planned.
A performance by Barry Louis Polisar, a family entertainer, at 4 p.m. in the Reservoir High School auditorium will require a separate ticket. Polisar's song "All I Want Is You" is performed in the movie Juno. Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the door.

Women's Conference to be held April 5
Women ages 16 and older are invited to Calvary Community Church in Columbia from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5 for a conference featuring an audiovisual presentation of Women of Faith, "Amazing Freedom." Registration is to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Intermarriage program offered
Beth Shalom Congregation, 8070 Harriet Tubman Lane in Columbia, will hold a program for parents and grandparents of adult children who are intermarried or planning to intermarry, from 7:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
The program, "Mixed Blessings: Intermarriage in Your Family," will be led by Rabbi Susan Grossman of Beth Shalom and Jacki Ashkin of Jewish Family Services.
The focus will be on coping with expectations and family tensions.
The cost for the series is $15 for synagogue members and $21 for nonmembers. Registration is required.
Journeys Community plans a yard sale
Journeys Community, a nontraditional spiritual group, meets at 10 a.m. Sundays to explore spirituality using music, video, reflection and meditation.

Lubavitch Center selling bricks
The Lubavitch Center for Jewish Education, 770 Howes Lane in Columbia, is selling bricks in its new courtyard. The bricks, which can be engraved with a text of the purchaser's choice, can memorialize a loved one, celebrate a child or honor someone important in the purchaser's life.
