Boston U. runs away from Retrievers in 1st half

Freshman forward Meghan Colabella shot 6-for-6 from the field en route to a career-high 19 points, but visiting Boston University (17-11, 10-5 America East) made 16 three-pointers as the Retrievers (9-19, 5-10) fell to the Terriers, 79-60, last night at RAC Arena.

Boston guard Christine Kinneary also shot 6-for-6 and scored 19 points.

The game was back-and-forth early with six ties and seven lead changes over the first 11 minutes, but the Terriers finished the half on a 34-8 run to take a 48-26 halftime lead.

The Retrievers trimmed the deficit to 13 points, 50-37, with an 11-2 run over the first four minutes of the second half, but they could get no closer.
