Northwestern
Homicide victim -- Police continued to seek the name of the woman found shot to death Jan. 16 in the 3400 block of Woodland Ave. Police responding to a report of a body found about 1:10 a.m. in a vacant lot discovered a young black woman, believed to be in her late teens or early 20s, who had been shot at least once in the head. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The death was the city's 20th slaying, compared with 34 at the same time last year. Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment.
Burglary -- At least 12 feet of copper piping was stolen between Feb. 7 and Saturday from a vacant house in the 4000 block of Belvieu Ave. Value of the piping was not known.
Eastern
Assault -- A young man was arrested Saturday night and charged with the domestic assault of a woman in their home in the 2900 block of E. Madison St. Police said the man, 19, and the woman, 18, were arguing about 10:30 p.m. when the man choked her. The woman declined medical attention. Mark Telp was arrested.

Parkville
Hit and run -- A 78-year-old female motorist was stopped at Perring Parkway and Taylor Avenue about 12:40 p.m. Saturday when the driver of an unknown make and model car struck the rear of her 1996 Ford Escort and failed to stop. There were no injuries, and the damage to the Ford was slight. Anyone with information about the other vehicle is asked to call the precinct at 410-887-5310.
Vandalism -- A 2005 Jeep was parked in the 8800 block of Waltham Woods Road about 5 p.m. Saturday when someone scratched the driver's side door. Damage was more than $200.
Cockeysville
Burglary -- A computer valued at nearly $800 was stolen between Wednesday and Thursday from a house in the first block of Chesterfield Court in Monkton by someone who entered the dwelling through a door.
Woodlawn
Theft/arrest -- A 17-year-old Northwest Baltimore girl was detained Saturday by a theft-prevention officer of Sears at Security Square Mall when the girl attempted to leave the store without paying for a Tweety Bird watch valued at $20. County police charged the girl with misdemeanor theft and released her into the custody of her parents.
