Maryland came into last night's game shooting better than 71 percent as a team from the foul line but missed nine of its 21 shots. Clemson, the worst team in the Atlantic Coast Conference at a little better than 62 percent, made eight of 11, including five of six in the second half.

BENCH FINALLY STEPS UP

Maryland's bench had one of its most productive games of the season. Led by freshman guard Adrian Bowie's career-high 12 points, the reserves contributed 20 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and four blocked shots

COMING ATTRACTION

The Terps will have a week to recover before they play Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville next Sunday night. It will be Senior Night for the Cavaliers, who will be honoring star guard Sean Singletary.
