COLLEGE PARK -- When Maryland returned to campus after losing at Miami on Feb. 23, the Terrapins were teetering physically and emotionally. A couple of players were fighting the flu, and several more seemed fatigued.

If the Terps were suffering from a common malady, it came from thinking too much about what it was going to take to make the NCAA tournament.
