The Baltimore Sun

A 29-year-old Edgewood man was charged with attempted murder in a shooting near his home Tuesday afternoon, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Eduardo Monzon German of the 700 block of Sequoia Drive became involved in a heated argument about an insult to his girlfriend, police said. The argument with Curtis James Dewitt Suggs, 22, of Red Bud Road in Edgewood ensued for several minutes along Sequoia Drive. Shortly before 4:30 p.m., German shot Suggs in the torso, police said.

Deputies found German a short distance from the shooting scene. Suggs was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital at Bayview, where he is listed in serious but stable condition, police said.

German is also charged with first-degree and second-degree assault, possession of and concealment of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, and use of a handgun in a felony violent crime.

He is being held without bond at the Harford County Detention Center.
