Workshops set for caregivers
The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is offering a winter/spring series of three caregiver workshops at local senior centers.
Mary Fridley, a nurse and elder care expert with the county, will lead the three National Family Caregiver Support programs: "Is There Help Out There? Resources and Services," "Elder Speak: When a Loved One Won't Listen," and "I'm Not Waving, I'm Drowning: Emotions and Coping Skills."
Workshop details:
Arnold Senior Center, 44 Church Road: March 17, 24 and 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Brooklyn Senior Center, 202 Hammonds Lane: March 13, 20 and 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Maryland City Senior Center, 8402 Brock Ridge Road: April 22, 29 and May 6 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Pasadena Senior Center, 4103 Mountain Road: May 14, 21 and 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Pascal Senior Center., 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie: April 15, 22 and 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
South County Senior Center, 27 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater: April 3, 10 and 17, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
