B-Line Medical LLC of Silver Spring formed a strategic partnership with Immersion Medical of Gaithersburg to allow Immersion Medical, which makes surgical simulation training systems, to distribute an enhanced version of B-Line's SimCapture product. The product is an all-in-one solution for capturing, debriefing, assessing and centralizing multiple types of simulation encounters.

Mary Kraft & Associates Inc. joined the ANSERTEAM national network of independent staffing companies and will cover the Baltimore metropolitan area and other Maryland markets.

Awards

Frank Gumpert Printing was presented with the Little q award for best of show-small press by the Printing and Graphics Association. The Annapolis-based firm also won two Awards of Excellence and three in Best of Category.

Contracts

NetStar-1 Inc., a Rockville IT services company, was awarded a one-year Defense Department contract with yearly options over nine years, totaling $4.8 billion. The firm will provide support services to the TRICARE Management Activity of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs.
