Paul N. Johnson, 68

Paul Navarro "Weedy" Johnson, a retired city worker and music fan, died of a stroke Feb. 11 at his Southwest Baltimore home. He was 68.

Mr. Johnson was born in Baltimore and raised in Cherry Hill. He attended city public schools.

Mr. Johnson was a supervisor for 28 years for the city Department of Housing and Community Development. He retired in 1986.

In recent years, Mr. Johnson worked at St. Peter Claver Hall in West Baltimore as a floor technician.

He enjoyed visiting Atlantic City casinos and was an avid fan of jazz and soul music.

Services were Monday.

Surviving are a daughter, Paula Johnson of Baltimore; his father, Joseph Johnson Sr. of Baltimore; three brothers, Michael Johnson and Joseph Johnson Jr., both of Baltimore, and Zaid A. Maalikulmulk of Chicago; four daughters, Jacqueline Hawkins, Leslie Johnson, Doris "Paulette" Johnson and Angela Johnson, all of Baltimore; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three special friends, Barbara Langley, Barbara Perry and Maria Williams; all of Baltimore.

An obituary published Feb. 22 for Paul N. Johnson misidentified four survivors. He is survived by four sisters, Jacqueline Hawkins, Leslie Johnson, Doris "Paulette" Johnson and Angela Johnson, all of Baltimore. The Sun regrets the error.
