Prosecutors say a drunken Edgar Stewart Sullivan Jr. - claiming that he was a TV character - chased a stranger into a Jessup prison and assaulted him because he thought he was a terrorist.
Yesterday, Sullivan, 23, of Elverson, Pa., was sentenced by a Howard County circuit judge to probation before judgment and alcohol treatment for drunken driving. Sullivan pleaded guilty to the charge in September.
According to charging documents, an officer who responded to a fight in the lobby of the Patuxent Institution in February 2007 noticed a car and a van on the grass in front of the prison.
A correctional officer said he saw a wreck involving the two vehicles, after which Sullivan chased the other driver, Marlon Yuviny Cantoral, into the lobby and attempted to assault him.
The officer said Sullivan kept shouting that he was Jack Bauer, a fictional federal agent on the TV drama 24.
