Through frigid temperatures and a smattering of snow flurries, voters streamed into the polling sites at Gwynns Falls Elementary School on Tuesday, eager to cast ballots in one of Maryland's most closely watched primary races.
They were greeted like old friends from veteran poll worker Beverly Henderson, 82, a 25-year-fixture at the two precincts that occupy the gym.
"I know about 90 percent of these people, and they all know me," she said. "This election is so exciting."
