BOYS BASKETBALL Loyola @ John Carroll

Today, 3:30 p.m. Outlook: Depending on what happened late last week, this game could decide if John Carroll makes the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference playoffs. The Patriots might have to beat Loyola to lock up fourth place in the conference and the final playoff spot. The Dons beat John Carroll earlier this month in a mild surprise. The Patriots held a one-game lead after Wednesday's games.

THE SUN'S PICK: John Carroll

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD State championship meet @ Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex

Tomorrow, 11 a.m. (Class 1A and 2A), Tuesday, 4 p.m. (Class 4A) Outlook: As strong as Harford County is in cross country and outdoor track (with teams like C. Milton Wright, Fallston and Bel Air), indoor track is not an official sport in the county. Harford teams do participate, although it's on a smaller basis. They could make a little bit of noise at the meet and affect the outcome. C.M. Wright should get some points in the Class 4A meet, as the Mustangs have plenty of good talent, especially in distance races.

WRESTLING UBCAC Tournament @ Aberdeen

Friday, 4 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. Outlook: Rising Sun will be the team to beat in this tournament -- the question is whether Bel Air can do it. Rising Sun, a Cecil County power and the defending champion, beat the Bobcats in a recent regular-season dual meet battle, and Bel Air will need to get strong performances from a lot of people to rack up the points needed for a tournament win. The Bobcats have as much depth this year as they've had in any recent season, but the Rising Sun probably has a little bit more.
