On February 12, 2008, MARY DOWNES COOK KNOLL of Dover, DE, formerly of Silver Spring, beloved wife of the late Lt. Colonel Bailey C. Cook and the late Colonel Helmut J. Knoll, devoted sister of James Albert Downes and Helen Downes Painton, loving aunt of James Downes, Bennett Downes, Ray Murray, Peter Downes, Michael Downes, Mary Frances Brandin, Barbara Haroz, Ann Murray and Carolyn Mullen and dear stepmother of Susan Knipp, Barbara Wilson and Stephen Knoll and a beloved great and great great aunt. The family will receive friends at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 s. 2nd St. in Denton, MD from 12 to 1 on Saturday, February 16, where services will be held at 1pm.
