The Spartans are ranked in the Top 10, and the Boilermakers in the Top 25. But Purdue (19-5, 10-1), winner of nine straight, happens to lead the Big Ten. However, Michigan State (20-3, 8-2) handed Purdue its only conference loss and the last one before the current Boilermakers run. Wow, I haven't seen a plot line this complicated since The Big Sleep.
