Health-project sug gestions sought

The Horizon Foundation is requesting letters of intent suggesting projects to improve health and wellness in Howard County and requesting funding.

The projects, which should be planned for a specific time frame, should focus on one or more areas of the foundation's Strategic Initiatives Program: child and adolescent health and wellness; youth asset development projects; older adult health and wellness; programs addressing the needs of at-risk populations; crisis and emergency response activities; and access to health and human services.

The letters are due March 5. Guidelines are available at www.thehorizonfoundation.org, or 410-715-0311. If a letter of intent is approved, the foundation will request a full grant proposal.
