The lowdown -- Warning: The Baltimore Tattoo Arts Convention is not for the faint of heart. In addition to 200 tattoo artists and band performances, the event features flesh-pulling suspension acts and a display booth by the Baltimore Tattoo Museum.
If you go -- The convention runs 2 p.m.-midnight tomorrow, noon-midnight Saturday and noon-8 p.m. Sunday at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel, 101 W. Big wheels
The lowdown -- For three days, the Maryland State Fairgrounds will house hundreds of new, vintage and extreme custom motorcycles for the Timonium Mid-Atlantic Motorcycle Show. Famous bike builders will make guest appearances.

Rock tribute
The lowdown -- Watch four tribute bands demonstrate the highest form of flattery Saturday at Rams Head Live. The program includes Schism (Tool), the Battle of Los Angeles (Rage Against the Machine), Facelift (Alice in Chains) and the Screaming Meat Bastards (Nirvana).
