Neighbor Ride selects Dearborn

Jim Dearborn of Ellicott City will serve as "driver representative" on the board of directors of Neighbor Ride, which provides volunteer drivers for older residents in need of transportation. Also named to the board were Nancy McCord, a Long & Foster real estate agent; Michael Mercurio, a partner in the law firm of Offit & Kurman; Elizabeth Noble, director of Howard Community College's Center for Entrepreneurial and Business Excellence; and Cheron Wicker, deputy director of communications for the Maryland Transit Administration.

Skalny to join land task force

Paul G. Skalny, a principal of the Howard County law firm of Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny LLC, has been appointed by Howard County Councilman Greg Fox to serve on the Public Engagement in Land Use Planning Task Force.

The County Council created the task force in December to examine and improve opportunities for public engagement in land-use planning in the county.

Skalny, a Howard County resident, is chairman of Leadership Howard County and is a director of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past chairman of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Howard County Bar Association and the Business Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association.
