After edging the Raiders, 66-64, on Dec. 12, the Lions came away with a 55-53 win Friday, with junior point guard Steven Cruz hitting the game-wining basket with 28 seconds left. Points scored by Oakland Mills senior guard Miriam McKenzie in the Scorpions' 70-34 victory over Long Reach last Wednesday, setting a single-game scoring record for the program. McKenzie finished the game with a triple double, as she recorded 16 rebounds and 13 steals.
