ANGIE CHARLOW STRUGGLES A BIT to find the words to describe her boutique on Hampden's Avenue. "You have to come in and see it," she tells those who ask.

But when pressed, she gives this description: "Gifts and accessories for you and the home."

Here you'll find handmade jewelry, clean-burning soy candles, French soap, travel bags, purses, picture frames, furniture and all-natural cleaning products.

"I try to have things that are not typical," says Charlow, who opened her store in September.

Prices vary widely. Jewelry, which Charlow buys from local artisans and from craftsmen in New York, ranges from $25 to $250. Handbags and clutch purses range from $30 to $175 and soaps from $6 to $12.

The inventory varies from week to week as does the look of the store, because the tables and benches on which the merchandise sits are also for sale.

"There's something for everyone," she says.
