The Howard County Conservancy at Mount Pleasant Farm in Woodstock will offer a workshop on Bluebird Boxes at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Jo Solem, a member of the Howard County Bird Club, will speak about bluebirds, the reasons for their diminishing numbers and preparations that can be made in the spring to help support the song birds.
Parents and children are invited to attend. The workshop is part of the conservancy's Wonder Walk/Wonder Talk series, providing opportunities for families to explore the natural world together.

Friday Night Revival planned for Feb 22
Next Generation Ministries of Hopkins United Methodist church will sponsor a Friday Night Revival Service at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at the church, 13250 Highland Road, Highland.

Roundabout construction halted for winter
Construction of the roundabout at Brighton Dam and Ten Oaks roads in Clarksville has been temporarily halted during the winter season. Construction is expected to resume in March, when temperatures rise.
The project is expected to be completed by spring.
Existing traffic patterns on Brighton dam Road and Ten Oaks Road will be maintained during the halt.

Healthy hearts -- The Howard County Health Department, in partnership with the Howard County Office on Aging, will offer a free, eight-week cardiovascular disease prevention program from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays, starting Feb. 12, at the Glenwood Senior Center. Road work -- The State Highway Administration is working to relieve congestion and improve safety along Route 32 at Burntwoods Road by constructing a $30 million interchange. The interchange will remove two traffic signals at Burntwoods and Ten Oaks roads and relocate private driveways and local roads that intersect Route 32. The Route 32/Burntwoods Road intersection will be relocated, and a roundabout, ramps, a bridge and an access point will be added. Lane closings are planned along Route 32 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. Lanes might be closed along Ten Oaks, Pfefferkorn and Burntwoods roads from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic signs and cones will guide motorists through work zones.
