Community law forum Saturday
The Anne Arundel County Bar Association and Anne Arundel Community College's legal-studies program will hold a Community Law Forum from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday.
Attorneys and judges from Anne Arundel County will discuss civil, criminal and family legal issues that affect the public.
The forum will be held on the college's Arnold campus in Room 101 of the Florestano Building, 101 College Parkway.

BWI partnership to meet Feb. 14
The BWI Business Partnership will hold its monthly signature breakfast meeting from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport, 1739 W. Nursery Road in Linthicum.
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman will present his views on area transportation issues.

Builder is given conservation award
Horizon Builders, Inc. has won the 2007 Land Conservation Award presented by Fairfax County, Va.
The award recognizes the efforts of developers, engineers and contractors who protect properties and natural resources from erosion, pollution runoff and stream sedimentation during land development.
Horizon specializes in building architect-designed custom residences in the Mid-Atlantic region. The company has its headquarters in Crofton.
Harley dealership is given award
Harley-Davidson has awarded Harley-Davidson/Buell of Annapolis the Gold Bar & Shield award for outstanding performance.

Architect finishes resort additions
Annapolis-based Graham Landscape Architecture has completed two additions to Blackberry Farm, a resort in the Great Smoky Mountains near Knoxville, Tenn.
Graham developed a farmstead with a barn and a farm building that houses a wine cellar, a restaurant and culinary classrooms.
Visitors center room dedicated
The conference room at the Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau's visitors center in Annapolis has been dedicated to a state senator who played a key role in the expansion and renovation of the bureau's West Street offices.
The John C. Astle Conference Room was dedicated Jan. 24 during a meeting of the board of directors.
Life-care community begins renovation
Ginger Cove, a life-care community on Riva Road in Annapolis, has started construction on a multimillion-dollar renovation and expansion project.
The two-story, 66,000-square-foot addition will add amenities for the community's 350 retirees.
