Three Pennsylvania men charged in theft of car

Three Pennsylvania men have been charged with stealing a car and attempting to remove parts from it.

Anne Arundel County police officers who were called to Arlington Court at Ringe Drive in Severn about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday said they found three men pulling the steering wheel, radio and engine from the car.

When they were spotted, the men fled on foot, but officers quickly apprehended Carlos N.A. Ramos 27, of West Chester, Miguel Isaac Contreras, 22, of Reading and Elvin Joel Colon-Irizany, 20, of Lancaster. They were charged with theft over $500, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree burglary and destruction to property over $500.

Police said the car had been pushed from a driveway on Arlington Court and down the street.

The car, which was heavily damaged, was recovered and returned to its owner.

Churchton man, woman charged in two burglaries

A Churchton man and woman have been charged in two burglaries last month in Lothian, Anne Arundel County police said.

Troy R. Konegen, 37, and Melissa Ann Sudduth, 25, both of the 5800 block of Deale-Churchton Road were wanted on warrants in the Jan. 11 and 16 thefts when police were tipped off that they were staying in a home in Owings, Calvert County. Officers found them sleeping there Monday and arrested them without incident.

Glen Burnie resident robbed by three men while walking home

A Glen Burnie man was robbed by three men while he was walking home, Anne Arundel County said.

The man said he was at Dumbarton Road and Genine Road about 10 p.m. Wednesday when the robbers, wearing ski masks or bandanas over their faces, approached and ordered him to empty his pockets. They took his property and ran into the woods.

Annapolis man charged in burglary after homeowner calls police

An Annapolis man was charged with burglary after a homeowner who was leaving his house became suspicious of a stranger loitering in the area and turned around to watch him attempt to break in, city police said.

The victim, who had heard about a man lingering in the neighborhood and burglarizing a Boucher Avenue home last week, was heading to work about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday when he noticed an unfamiliar man appearing to case his house on Bay Ridge Avenue.

He called police, circled around and watched the suspect try to force open two windows before officers arrived.

Marvin Johnson, 20, of Hilltop Lane was charged with burglary and related offenses. He was being held in lieu of $35,000 bail.
