Upper Chesapeake Medical Center will hold a Man to Man prostate cancer support group at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Fallston Room.

Men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer are welcome, as well as their families.

Benefit health fair planned

Quest Fitness in Abingdon will host a Charity Bazaar Health Fair to benefit The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Guests will have the opportunity to work out for free using state-of-the-art strength and cardiovascular equipment. Vendors such as Creative Moments, Home Interiors and jewelry retailers will showcase their products and donate 15 percent of their sales for the day to The Arc.

The health fair will also feature free blood pressure and spinal screenings and mini-massage, plus activities for children.

Beauty tips for can cer patients

The American Cancer Society is sponsoring a "Look Good, Feel Better" program for cancer patients at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

The program provides make-up and hair techniques to combat the effects of treatment.

Six-week childbirth class

Upper Chesapeake Health will offer a six-week Prepared Childbirth Course from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 25 to April 7, or Thursdays, Feb. 28 to April 10 at the medical center.

Weekend classes will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and Feb. 24.

The cost is $50 for couples delivering at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and $80 for those delivering elsewhere.

Smoking cessation support

The Harford County Health Department will offer a support group for individuals who have quit tobacco at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 119 S. Hays St., Bel Air.

Members can troubleshoot their smoking cessation plan, support each other and increase their skills in staying tobacco-free.
