COLLEGE PARK -- Maryland women's basketball coach Brenda Frese is in the 33rd week of her pregnancy, and her team is apparently as eager for her to give birth to twins as she is. That's the best way to explain the high drama the No. 4 Terps played out yesterday before an announced 10,670 at Comcast Center, holding off a scrappy Georgia Tech team in double overtime to claim a 99-95 win.

Maryland (22-1, 6-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference) survived a game in which it committed 26 turnovers - and one in which the Yellow Jackets had chances to win on the final possession of both regulation and the first overtime - to stay unbeaten in the conference and set up a showdown at No. 3 North Carolina on Saturday.

Maryland women@North Carolina Saturday, 1 p.m. Records: No. 4 Maryland (22-1, 6-0 ACC); No. 3 North Carolina (17-1, 4-0 ACC)
