GIRLS BASKETBALL Aberdeen @ No. 14 Fallston

Thursday, 7 p.m. Outlook: This matchup of talented teams might be decided by whether Aberdeen can slow Fallston's Jess Harlee, a G-F who can do so much at both ends of the court. Any opponent must keep the ball out of her hands or move her away from the basket. Aberdeen has been hurt by injuries but remains a good squad. If it neutralizes Harlee, it could have a shot.

THE SUN'S PICK: Fallston

BOYS BASKETBALL Joppatowne @ Havre de Grace

Friday, 7 p.m.

Outlook: Havre de Grace, 4-0 through the middle of last week, leads the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference's Susquehanna Division, but this will be a tough game. Do the Warriors have enough talent to stay with a fast Joppatowne team that loves to run? To stay close, Havre de Grace can't let the Mariners turn the game into a track meet. THE SUN'S PICK: Aberdeen BOYS BASKETBALL No. 14 John Carroll @ No. 5 St. Frances

Friday, 7 p.m.

Outlook: John Carroll, which moved up this season to the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference from the B Conference, is learning how difficult the A Conference schedule is. The Patriots lost, 70-54, to St. Frances at home this season, but John Carroll is playing better. Still, stopping the multitalented Panthers will be a challenge. Maryland-bound senior Sean Mosley has been tearing up opposing defenses. John Carroll must have a big game from Isaiah Philmore inside and help from everyone for an upset. THE SUN'S PICK: St. Frances
