The Tar Heels are ranked No. 1 in the nation and still sweating from Wednesday night's 83-82 win over Georgia Tech. They're 18-0 overall, 3-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and probably feeling a little bit vulnerable. This might not be an ideal time for Maryland (11-7, 1-2) to visit Chapel Hill, where the Heels figure they have something to prove, no matter their record. They're off to their best start since the 1985-86 season. Junior forward Tyler Hansbrough is averaging 21.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Hansbrough and his teammates will face a defense that ranks first in the conference and fourth in the nation in field-goal percentage, limiting opponents to 36 percent shooting from the field.
