Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Burglary -- A pressure washer and tools were stolen over the weekend from a Constellation Energy substation in the 3900 block of Pulaski Highway.
Burglary -- Someone broke into Federal Hill Barber Shop in the 900 block of Light St. between Saturday evening and Monday morning after removing an air conditioner from an outside wall. The thief stole $5 in quarters from a cash register.
Burglary -- Police were seeking the person who broke into Lucky Lucy's Cafe in the 1100 block of S. Charles St. Sunday or Monday through a first-floor window and stole more than $100.
Stolen vehicle -- A 2004 Toyota Camry with tags 2AD Z61 was stolen Sunday in the 5600 block of Haddon Ave.
Vandalism -- Someone used a sharp metal object to scratch "die white boy" on the passenger door of a 1997 Dodge Neon parked in the first block of Alberge Lane on Sunday night or Monday morning.
Burglary -- At least 60 video games and coins - all valued at more than $1,800 - were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 7800 block of E. Collingham Drive by someone who entered through a door.
Burglary -- Copper wiring of unknown value was stolen from a construction site in the 900 block of Dulaney Valley Road between Friday and Monday.
Burglary -- Two laptop computers and two projectors were stolen between Friday and Monday from the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Maryland in the 1800 block of York Road. There were no signs of forced entry.
Arrests -- Five men and three teenagers were arrested Monday evening in a vacant apartment in the 9200 block of Appleford Circle. An investigation led to all of them being charged with breaking into a Verizon kiosk at Owings Mills Mall on Sunday or Monday and stealing cell phones and other property - all valued at $1,400. Police said some of the property taken from the kiosk was recovered and that at least one man was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
Burglary -- Auto parts and accessories were stolen over the weekend from a garage in the 3700 block of Croydon Road.
Robbery try -- Two men forced their way into an apartment in the 6900 block of Marsue Drive about 5 a.m. Monday by breaking a window and attempted to rob the occupant, a man, 36. The pair fled and were being sought. Details of the incident were not available.
Burglary/arrest -- Training Officer Chad Schroyer and Officer Matthew Wood were patrolling near the 100 block of Twin Circle Way about 11 a.m. Monday when they received information about a nearby burglary and observed a young man running. Flying over the area at the same time was a police helicopter, whose crew was looking for a suspect in the burglary. After stopping the youth, the officers recovered cash, an iPod and cell phones reported taken in the break-in. A 15-year-old Lansdowne resident was charged with burglary and related offenses.
