Magnetic resonance imaging tests and an examination yesterday by team physician Dr. Steve Lombardo revealed Bynum had temporarily dislocated his kneecap and suffered a bone bruise.
Bynum, a third-year pro, is averaging 13.1 points.
Knicks -- Guard Stephon Marbury will miss at least two more games and could require surgery on his left ankle. Marbury told reporters at practice he would have surgery if it was recommended.
Cavaliers -- LeBron James acknowledged driving 101 mph on the highway on his 23rd birthday. The star forward was ticketed by the State Highway Patrol on Interstate 71 in suburban Medina, Ohio, at nearly 3 a.m. on Dec. 30. "I was doing 101," James said after practice. "I've just got to abide by the law. I got caught."
