BOYS BASKETBALL No. 11 Towson Catholic @ No. 13 John Carroll
Friday, 7 p.m. Outlook: John Carroll was sitting in fourth place in the MIAA A Conference after beating Calvert Hall last Wednesday. The Patriots were just outside of the top three spots in the conference (St. Frances, Mount St. Joseph and Towson Catholic all had one loss, while John Carroll had two), and already have beaten Towson Catholic, 54-51, this season. Isaiah Philmore got can dominate inside, but the Patriots need a balanced offense to control the game. THE SUN'S PICK: John Carroll
BOYS BASKETBALL Aberdeen @ C. Milton Wright
Friday, 7 p.m. Outlook: Can C. Milton Wright slow down the potent Aberdeen offense? If so, this could be an interesting game. The Mustangs edged a good Bel Air team, 57-56, last week, while Aberdeen already has beaten Dunbar from Baltimore City. If the Eagles grab an early lead and force the Mustangs to play at their tempo, it could be a long night for C.M. Wright. THE SUN'S PICK: Aberdeen
WRESTLING Harford Tech @ Mount Mat Madness
Friday, 2:30 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m.
CCBC-Catonsville Outlook: The Cobras haven't done quite as well this season as in years past, and this will be a big test for them. Twenty-nine high-level teams from Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia are getting together for this event. Harford Tech finished in last place last year. Depth is crucial for tournaments like this, and the big question is whether the Cobras have enough of it.
