Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting -- Zachariah Hallback, 18, of the 3200 block of Noble St. was in critical condition and on life support at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot in the head about 11 p.m. Wednesday during a robbery at a bus stop at The Alameda and East 33rd St. An undisclosed sum of money was taken. Anyone having information about the gunman is asked to call the district at 410-396-2444.


Shooting -- A man, 30, was shot in the back in the 500 block of Presstman St. about 9 p.m. Wednesday and was being treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Details of the shooting were not available.


Theft -- A global positioning system valued at nearly $300 was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from a 1995 Mercedes-Benz parked in the 700 block of Graves St.

Burglary -- Someone broke into Randy's Bar & Liquors in the 2100 block of E. North Ave. after knocking a hole in a wall Tuesday or Wednesday and stole several bottles of alcohol and more than $1,000 worth of cigarettes.


Assault -- A man, 45, was riding a bicycle in the 3500 block of E. Lombard St. about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man knocked him down, causing the victim to break his left arm. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and released. No one had been arrested.

Burglary -- Police were seeking the person who entered Burger King in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway after breaking the drive-by window about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday and stole an undisclosed sum of money. Anyone with information is urged to call the precinct at 410-887-5000.

Robbery try/assault -- A man, 39, was walking in the 7400 block of Belair Road about 8 p.m. Tuesday when he was stopped by a man who demanded his wallet. Before the victim could reply, the other man sprayed him with a chemical irritant and fled without robbing the victim.
