GIRLS BASKETBALL No. 5 Atholton@No. 10 Mount Hebron Friday, 7 p.m.

Outlook: Last season, the visiting Raiders (7-2) enjoyed a banner campaign, going 25-3 and winning the county championship and the program's first state crown. One of the few lowlights was a stunning, 58-38 loss to Mount Hebron. While seniors Britanny Coughlan, Elie Snyder, Taylor Chapman and Julianne Conroy have returned for the Raiders, the Vikings (10-0) lost four starters. Looks like an easy win for Atholton, right? Guess again. The Vikings, led by senior Deanna Dydynski, are playing the same dominating defense and spreading out the scoring with a new cast of starters and role players. In a game that likely won't be decided until the final minutes, the team that better executes at that time will come out on top. THE SUN'S PICK: Mount Hebron

Outlook: The county rivals met at the Paint Branch Invitational over the holiday with Long Reach coming away with an 87-64 win. The Lightning (9-0) had five players reach double figures, led by senior standout Obi Ukwuoma (15 points), and scored most of its points in transition. Howard (6-3) will have to slow the pace and take advantage of its post play and balanced attack. For the Lions, 6-foot-6 senior center MacGyver Biniak, 6-5 senior forward John Moore and 6-2 senior guard Cameron Crump all average around 17 points per game. THE SUN'S PICK: Long Reach

WRESTLING No. 5 Glenelg@No. 2 Mount St. Joseph Saturday, noon

Outlook: The Gladiators have challenged themselves with a tough out-of-county schedule this season. They lost to two-time Class 4A-3A state dual meet champion La Plata earlier, and now are going up against the Gaels. The Gladiators are led by Brendon Conway (119 pounds), Brian Marcoux (125), Dan Bichner (140) and Tim Chase (160), but could have a hard time with the home team's sturdy lineup. Glenelg's state runner-up Chris Stinnett likely will still be out with a shoulder injury. THE SUN'S PICK: Mount St. Joseph
