Jane R. Redding, 86

Jane R. Redding, a homemaker, died Tuesday at the Spa Creek Center of complications from a fall at her Annapolis home. She was 86.

Born Jane Renninger in Glenside, Pa., she was a graduate of the Ogontz School in Rydal, Pa. She earned a home economics degree.

Mrs. Redding moved to Severna Park in 1958 and later lived in Towson and Annapolis.

She had been a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church in Glenside, Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park and Babcock Presbyterian Church in Towson.

Mrs. Redding enjoyed vacations, reading, studying the Bible, playing bridge, horticulture, music and ballet.

Her husband of 61 years, James Karcher Redding, a forklift salesman, died in 2003.

A memorial service was held yesterday at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road.

Survivors include three daughters, Evie E. Redding of Annapolis, Darthea R. Olander of Glencoe and Katherine A. Snyder of West Chester, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
