The lowdown -- Every so often, area-based guitarist Carl Filipiak plays a loud, dynamic show of all Jimi Hendrix tunes. The next one is tonight at the 8x10 in Federal Hill. If you're a classic rock fan, you won't want to miss it.

The band features John Dierker on saxophone, Dave Ballou on trumpet, Michael Formanek on double bass and Will Redman on drums. With this kind of lineup and so much room for improvisation, anything is possible.
