Annika Sorenstam won the Dubai Ladies Masters by two strokes yesterday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for her first victory since she won there in 2006.
The Swede closed with a 2-under-par 70 to finish at 10-under 278 in the Ladies European Tour's season-ending tournament.
"I am so happy to have finally won again," Sorenstam said.
Overnight leader Iben Tinning of Denmark had a double bogey on the final hole and finished with a 73 to tie for second with England's Laura Davies (72).
South African Open -- James Kingston shot a 1-under 71 to beat Oliver Wilson by one stroke in Paarl, South Africa. Kingston, a South African, finished at 4-under 284 overall. Greg Norman shot a 71 and tied for seventh. Ernie Els (69) finished in a tie for 16th with Retief Goosen (75).
Australian Open -- Craig Parry shot a 3-under 69 for a one-stroke victory in Sydney. Parry, who won his first national championship in 24 tries, was one stroke ahead of three players at 10-under - American Brandt Snedeker (69) and Australians Lee Won-joon (66) and Nick O'Hern (70).
