STOCKTON, Calif. -- The Blast extended its losing streak to five games last night as a three-point goal on a power play in the final quarter gave the California Cougars a 7-4 victory.

California scored five of its seven points during two power plays in the second half, something the Blast has had trouble with all season. The Blast allows goals a league-worst 62 percent of the time when down a man.
