CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR -- (Universal Pictures) Mike Nichols directs this fact-based tale about a playboy congressman (Tom Hanks), a beautiful socialite (Julia Roberts) and a CIA agent (Philip Seymour Hoffman) who secretly pulled off one of the largest covert operations in U.S. history.

JUNO -- (Fox Searchlight) Ellen Page is a pregnant teenager looking for the perfect parents to adopt her unborn child. She finds them in an affluent couple (Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman). But will she be able to go through with her plan when the due date arrives?

THE KITE RUNNER -- (Paramount Vantage) Marc Forster (Finding Neverland) directs this eagerly awaited adaptation of Khaled Hosseini's best-selling novel, about a man who is driven by guilt to return to his native Afghanistan after 20 years and set things right.

NATIONAL TREASURE: THE BOOK OF SECRETS -- (Walt Disney Pictures) Nicolas Cage returns as the intrepid treasure hunter, this time racing around the globe to find a missing page from the diary of Abraham Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth.

P.S. I LOVE YOU -- (Warner Bros.) Hilary Swank stars as a grieving widow who begins to receive letters from her late husband (Gerald Butler), written before a terminal illness took his life.

ROMANCE AND CIGARETTES -- (Boroturro) A musical set in the world of working-class New York tells the story of a husband's journey into infidelity and redemption. With James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon and Kate Winslet.

SWEENEY TODD -- (Paramount Pictures) The sinister Stephen Sondheim musical comes to the screen in Tim Burton's R-rated, sure-to-be-bloody incarnation. Johnny Depp stars as the vengeful barber who gives his customers shaves that are much too close.

WALK HARD: THE DEWEY COX STORY -- (Columbia Pictures) John C. Reilly is a revered singer whose career hits a road bump in this comic faux-biopic a la Anchorman and Talladega Nights, minus Will Ferrell.
