Richard Crystal of Baltimore noted the car wrecks during last week's snowstorm: "Why ... do people in this area not know how to drive when it snows? It amazes me that no one slows down. Maybe ... in 4-wheel- drive behemoths they feel invincible!" Marylanders just don't get enough experience driving in snow. And many in big SUVs feel safer, so they go too fast and take chances. They ignore their higher center of gravity and rollover risk - twice that of a passenger car.
