COLLEGE PARK -- Boos and obscenities rained down on the referees from the Maryland crowd, and the Terrapins players walked mournfully to the bench.
It had all escaped them so quickly: the upbeat mood inside Comcast Center, the lead and, finally, the game.

Keys to the game
A foul and ensuing technical on Greivis Vasquez - his fifth personal foul - seemed to shift momentum. Boston College made four free throws to tie the game, and Vasquez, one of the team's emotional leaders and its leading scorer, was gone with 10:30 left.
Did you notice that ...
Freshman Cliff Tucker had a strong game with eight points, including two three-pointers, and five rebounds. ... Eric Hayes had a career-high seven rebounds.
Left to ponder
Maryland went without a three-pointer in the first half but hit five in the final 90 seconds of the game. Three-pointers often seem to come in bunches for the Terps or else not at all.
Up next
The Terps play Ohio University on Wednesday night at Comcast Center.
