Designer denims, trendy dresses and chic tops await at Babe, the cozy new contemporary clothing store for the college and young adult set on South Charles Street.

But don't be fooled by how high-end the hip clothes might appear, warns owner Lisa Ponzoli, who says most of the intricate, formal shirts run about $70.

"Every single person who comes in here comments on the prices being good," she says.

Upscale denim costs $90 to $230, while select accessories (think belts and bags, not shoes) cost about $25 to $160.
