COLLEGE PARK -- One moment, Gary Williams' suit jacket was on. The next moment, it lay crumpled on the Comcast Center floor.

The Maryland coach's jacket toss - it came at the end of a first half in which Williams was frustrated with his young team - seemed to change the feel of the game against Morgan State, which the Terrapins won, 89-65.

The Terps were a different team in the second half. Their outside shooting helped loosen up the zone defense, and Bambale Osby was a force inside.

Morgan State packed in its zone trying to stop Maryland's inside game in the first half. ... Maryland's full-court pressure wore down the Bears. ... The Terps seemed to want Eric Hayes running the show at the point.

Left to ponder

Osby didn't start the game but did start the second half. "Braxton [Dupree] is doing fine, but Coach told me we needed to start the half better, so I said to myself that I'm back in the starting lineup and I've got to bring it," Osby said.
